Dr. David Busic and Dr. Scott Daniels

We are thrilled to welcome Nazarene general superintendents Dr. David Busic and Dr. Scott Daniels as our plenary session speakers for NNU’s 2025 PALCON! Recognized for their gifted abilities to communicate both Scripture and our Wesleyan-Holiness theology in accessible, challenging ways, Dr. Busic and Dr. Daniels will be connecting with our PALCON audience using a variety of approaches in a tag-team preaching and teaching format. You won’t want to miss this fun, compelling pairing of two of our denomination’s finest leaders!

Trey & Candice Brooks

Building on NNU’s longstanding commitment to make PALCON a family-friendly event, we’re grateful that the USA/Canada Region is making Trey & Candice Brooks available as directors of PALCON Kids 2025 at NNU. Trey & Candice are co-founders of Equip to Engage, a ministry that equips, encourages, and connects children’s leaders through a variety of retreats, leadership events, and the creation of other ministry resources. PALCON Kids 2025 is geared specifically for children from first through fifth grades, tying them closely into our NNU PALCON theme of “Becoming.”

In addition to our ministry to elementary-aged children through PALCON Kids 2025, we’re also offering nursery care for infants through age one, as well as childcare for preschoolers aged two through kindergarten in partnership with College Church’s KidZone Ministry. In order to plan in advance for staffing and supplies, parents who wish to utilize KidZone for their preschool children must register them on our PALCON site no later than July 15 and pay the cost for this third-party service.

Rev. Rich Vasquez

Filling out our ministry at PALCON to pastors’ kids from sixth through twelfth grades, Rev. Rich Vasquez has developed an exciting menu of creative and engaging ways of connecting with the young people who are joining us for PALCON in July. As NNU’s associate director of admissions and NYI engagement liaison, Rich has a wealth of youth ministry experience. Even more, he has recruited a compelling lineup of youth speakers from our field this year, and has enlisted a talented team of college students from the NNU Collective to bring their very best to each of our youth sessions in particular. Under Rich’s leadership, we believe this year’s PALCON offers the strongest focus for young people we have ever seen.

Rev. Ryan Gage

Once again at this year’s PALCON, Rev. Ryan Gage will be leading us in worship during our plenary sessions — but this time, he’s recruited some of the most dynamic worship leaders from the districts across our NNU field to join him on our PALCON worship team! Known for the authentic, compelling, and heart-filled ways he inspires worshipful responses to God, Ryan serves as Minister of Worship & Creative Arts at our PALCON host site, College Church of the Nazarene.
