Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend PALCON?

While PALCON is designed especially for all Nazarene clergy, nonclergy spouses are welcome as are individuals preparing for ministry or in the process of discerning a call to vocational ministry. Clergy from other denominations may attend as well, in hopes that the conference will inspire and equip them.

Full-conference registration varies from year to year but is consistent across the various PALCON venues in a given year. Select “Registration” button for the PALCON you wish to attend to see pricing (including earlybird options) and to register to attend PALCON at that location. This price includes access to all plenary sessions, workshops, and 7 meals beginning with the evening meal on the opening day. Oncampus housing for three nights is available to all full-conference registrants for no additional cost.

The rate for a spouse of a full-conference registrant is normally discounted (select “Registration” for the PALCON you wish to attend to see current pricing). We strongly urge couples to register early since housing for married couples is limited at some venues.

PALCON venues offering family programming provide a separate registration portal for your participating family members. Pricing for family programming varies from venue to venue, as do the age range and program elements. IMPORTANTLY, you must first register yourself to attend PALCON before you will be able to successfully register a child. Select “Registration” for the PALCON you wish to attend to learn more and to see current pricing for family programming.

Normally, rates increase 3045 days ahead of each PALCON event.

Yes. A single-day rate is available (select “Registration” for the PALCON

you wish to attend to see current pricing). With the exception of the opening day of the conference, the single-day rate includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner for that calendar day. On-campus housing may be available to single-day registrants at some venues for an additional fee if requested in advance of the conference. To explore this possibility, please contact us at palcon@nazarene.org.

At this time, the conference is not live-streamed.

The full-conference registration option remains open until the first day of the event. However, the availability of on-campus housing is assured only for registrations made more than 10 days prior to the first day of the event.

You may receive a full refund if you cancel more than 15 days prior to the first day of the event you had planned to attend. After that, a 50% refund is granted for cancellations received up to 5 days prior to the first day of the event. If you find you must cancel your registration due to extenuating circumstances, please contact us at palcon@nazarene.org.

What are the options for overnight lodging?

On-campus housing is available at no extra charge to those who purchase a fullconference registration. Rooms are double-occupancy. In some settings, rooms are single occupancy with a shared common space and shared showers/restrooms. Participants wishing to stay off-campus are responsible for making their own arrangements. You will have the opportunity to select or decline on-campus housing during the online registration process.

Possibly. It depends on the venue. Unless you see specifics related to linens included in the registration information for the PALCON you plan to attend, you can assume that bedding and towels are included.

Although there is certainly an expense in offering on-campus housing to all full-conference registrants, it is offered at no charge. For this reason, there is no adjustment to the cost of registration for those deciding to stay off-campus. Any participant wishing to stay off-campus need only indicate this preference during the registration process.

Yes, by all means! During the online registration process, you will have an opportunity to enter the name of the person you wish to be your roommate. You can also indicate if you would like to be assigned a roommate.

You will have the opportunity during the registration process to make special requests concerning on-campus housing. We realize there are some instances when single occupancy may be necessary. You may indicate this request on your registration. Be fully assured we will make every effort to accommodate your request. If you make such a request, you will receive a separate communication from us on this matter.

The amount of on-campus housing for married couples varies from venue to venue. Early registration is strongly encouraged if you wish to take advantage of the on-campus housing available to full-conference registrants.

Extended stay arrangements, if available, must be made directly with the host venue. Priority is given to those whose situations truly necessitate any extension. Contact the PALCON office (palcon@nazarene.org) for more information.
